Lazy Sunday in Whirl

It’s Sunday, it’s Easter, and it’s time for lazy crochet. Remember my Lazy Sunday Stipes Shawl? The perfect free pattern for a lazy crochet project. I have had people asking me if it would work with Scheepjes Whirl. Answer: yes, it does!

Materials

I made this shawl with a cake of Scheepjes Whirl in the colorway Salted Caramel Matcha (774) and a 4.0mm (US G/6) hook. Scheepjes Whirl is a twined cotton/acrylic long color changing yarn.

Scheepjes Whirl is available from Wool Warehouse (UK/Int), The Knitting Network (UK), Jimmy Beans Wool (USA)Caro’s Atelier (NL/EU), or your favorite Scheepjes stockist.

I am totally happy with the result, and I have worn my shawl a lot to several events. It’s light, has an interesting color change that gets people’s attention and I am still a total fan of the asymmetric shape.

  1. This looks beautiful! The whirl is sold out near me, do you think this would work with a sport weight yarn?
