It’s week 3 of Around the Bases CAL and this week we are working granny stitches with a slight twist. Nice and relaxing rounds with many options for color variations. Really interested to see what you all come up with!

Video Part 3
The video for this week shows exactly how to work these stitches.
My ATB
I made the double crochets in each round a different color and I kept my single crochets in a base color. But you could also do it the other way around, or even make every round a different color or just skip all of it and make your entire project in one color. So many options to choose from!
For my ATB I am using Scheepjes Linen Soft yarn in the following colors
- round 10 – 630 white
- round 11 – 622 mint green
- round 12 – 630 white
- round 13 – 627 bright green
- round 14 – 630 white
- round 15 – 606 green
- round 16 – 630 white
The result is a colorful pattern in green.
Next week we are going to aim for the stars! Be sure to share your beautiful afghans in the Facebook group CAL – Crochet A Longand/or Ravelry group Around the Bases. We would all love to see your WIP.
