This week we are on to part 3 of Mandala Madness CAL, designed by Helen Shrimpton. You can find the original, written pattern with many translations on Helen’s blog. Part 3 is the last part that was part of the sneak peak, so after today the rest of the CAL is a mystery. I have been fortunate enough to see the end result (after all, I need to keep ahead of you all to make the videos), and I can tell you, you are going to love it!

Yarn & yarn packs
There are/were various yarn packs available for the crochet along.
These yarn packs are available from Wool Warehouse as well as selected Scheepjes Stockists.
Video Part 3
All videos for Mandala Madness are available through my YouTube channel. In the video for week 3 I show to use two colors at the same time. If you have never done this before, don’t stress, it’s not as hard as it looks. Just keep with me and I’m sure you’ll be just fine 🙂
My Mandala Madness
I use two Scheepjes yarns for my mandala; Scheepjes Sunkissed and Scheepjes Cotton 8 with a 3mm (D-3) hook. There are yarn packs available for this CAL in Scheepjes Color Crafter, Scheepjes Stone Washed XL and Scheepjes Merino Soft, all available from Wool Warehouse. Here a list of the colors I used for week 3.
Round | Yarn | Color number | Color name |
round 24 | Sunkissed | 05 | seaside |
round 25 | Sunkissed | 05 & 15 | seaside & sun |
round 26 | Sunkissed | 05 & 15 | seaside & sun |
round 27 | Sunkissed | 05 | seaside |
round 28 | Sunkissed | 05 | seaside |
round 29 | Sunkissed | 21 | ultra violet |
I hope to see you next week for part 4 when the first surprise part of the CAL begins.
With love,
Esther
The sun kissed yellow is perfect choice for that section.

Mais MERCI ++++ , je note tout, je fait un tableau pinterest et …., amitiés, jojo

Wow this is BEAUTIFUL! It looks too complicated for my skill level.. But maybe following your video tutorial I could do it. I’d love to make it for my baby girl’s nursery. First, choosing colours!

I cannot figure out the suns, each time I try and do them they line up in different locations, its like the count to get to the top of the peak when you do the 8 after the finish of the sun, just never gets it to the top.should I try fudging numbers?
