I am a summer person, there is no doubt about it. I love to be outside, sit in the sun and work on a relaxing crochet project. It was such a warm Sunday afternoon and I had a few balls of Scheepjes Invicta yarn that I wanted to make something with.
I was aiming for a lacy summer cowl, but somehow that just didn’t want to come out of my hands. After having started 3, maybe 4 times with a different idea yet again, something started to grow in my hands. And I thought, this is it! A perfect project for a bit of rest and relaxation. I am wanting to rest after the intense time of Nuts about Squares.
The wrap is asymmetrical and the pattern is a 4-row repeat for ever and ever, till you run out of yarn or your wrap is big enough, which ever comes first. It is the yarn that does the magic, one of the reasons I like variegated yarn. Next week I will have the pattern for this shawl written up for you.
And isn’t this old scissor the cutest thing? Found it at a stall when I visited Unravelry at the beginning of the year.
With love,
Esther

What a nice relaxing Shawl break! I love that it just runs out and finishes:). You deserve a break after the Nuts and Squares❤️. I just ordered my yarn and will be starting mine soon. Better late than never right? I hope you have a few more relaxing days ahead:). ❤️❤️

Beauuuuuuuuuuuuuuutiful yarn Esther! I can’t wait to get this pattern. I have looked high and low for asymetrical shawl patterns in crochet and there are very few! Knit, tons- crochet- nada.
So thank you for this!! I’m so excited!!
