It’s an exciting day today because we are finishing our In Bloom cushion. It’s always bitter sweet when a project comes to an end, and it’s no different with In Bloom , a designed by Johanna Lindahl from Mijo Crochet.

Yarn
The yarn that I’m using is Scheepjes Catona yarn which is a 100% mercerized cotton, sport weight yarn. These are the colors I have selected for my In Bloom, all are Scheepjes Catona 50g balls. Here are the yarn amounts that you will need to make a complete cushion:
- Color 1 – 1 x 246 : Icy Pink
- Color 2 – 1 x 240 : Amethyst
- Color 3 – 1 x 394 : Shadow Purple
- Color 4 – 4 x 130 : Old Lace
- Color 5 – 1 x 173 : Bluebell
- Color 6 – 1 x 247 : Blue Bird
- Color 7 – 1 x 164 : Light Navy
I am following the color order as suggested by Johanna, and here is the order of my colors per round. Actually, the colorway for part 8 is really easy, I used 130: Old Lace for all the rounds and the join.
Scheepjes Catona is available in 109 colors in balls of 10g cutie pie balls, 25g balls, 50g balls and for limited colors also in 100g balls. Scheepjes Catona is available from Wool Warehouse (UK/International), Love Crochet (US), Knotty House (CA) or your local Scheepjes Stockist. Video Tutorial
Part 8 of In Bloom is a repetition of rounds we have done before, and the join of the cushion. Use Rounds 61 and 62 to adapt the size of the cushion if you need to. The join is a bit tricky if you have never done join-as-you-go before. If you find the join too complicated, feel free to join your cushion with tread and needle.
And that’s it! Feel free to share your work on my Facebook page, or tag me in one of your posts on Instagram.
