Last week I showed you my yarn for a new project, and it is coming along nicely. Time to show you a few photo’s. I have decided to name this my “Diamond Shawl” because of the diamond shaped repeat pattern. You can’t see it that well yet but when I open up the stitches during blocking the pattern will be much more visible.
My yarn
I am making a warm winter wrap using Blackcurrent Squeeze Me Whirl (773), Frosted Whirlette (852) if needed, and Hip Hip Mohair Rhythm (685) to make the wrap extra warm. All these yarns are available from Wool Warehouse (UK/Int), Caro’s Atelier (NL/EU) or your favorite Scheepjes stockist.
My wrap
My wrap is really coming along nicely and it grows amazingly fast in my hands. The mohair yarn makes it warm and fuzzy and snugly and is totally easy to work with in combination with the Whirl. Thank goodness for those easy start labels on the mohair! It would be quite a challenge finding the start otherwise.
I wish you could feel the texture of this fabric, just amazing! It’s going so fast that I expect that I will be able to show you my completed wrap next week.
With love,
Esther

It looks really lovely. I’ve never tried using 2 yarns together before, is it easy?
