I’m not sure what happened to spring, because I seem to have landed straight in summer with my temperature blanket. May has been warm and at times sticky hot. Time for an update on my C2C Make Along 2018 temperature blanket in which I am using 35 shades of Scheepjes Maxi Sweet Treat with a 2.5mm (US 4) hook. Under Resources you find everything you need for the Make Along.

May was hot in my part of the world with most of the month being in the high 20’s C (80’s F); the temperatures of last two weeks have resulted in deep red and purple shades being added to my blanket in my blanket. I introduced two new colors to my blanket, a peach color for 21C and a deep purple for 30C. Those high temperatures were great for sitting outside and enjoying time with my family at a local beach. Towards the end of the month, on May 26th to be exact, I made the third corner for my blanket. From now on my blanket will only become longer, it has now reached it’s final width.
I shared many WIP photo’s of my temperature blanket with you in Facebook group It’s all in a Nutshell Crochet Nuts. If you have not joined yet, feel free to do so.
Make your own #C2CMAL2018 blanket
To make your own blanket you need to align temperatures to colors. I have given you an example in my Color Chart C2C Temperature Blanket Make ALong 2018. However, feel free to change the range of the temperatures to better suite your local situation. I have decided to use the maximum temperature registered by the official weather station in my city as the temperature for each day of the year. You can use the Empty Color Chart to register the temperature in your city so that you can keep track of which color goes where. Finally you need the pattern, we are going to keep increasing the diagonal for some time still, so just keep going for the time being.
