Many of you have started with Stitch Story crochet along, and if you haven’t you still have loads of time to join in. Today we make part 2 which is a moss stitch square. The textured square is delicate and gives our blanket a subtle texture. Stitch Story is designed by Heather Gibbs from Keep Calm and Crochet on UK and I am here with a series of video tutorials to help you with the tricky bits just in case you need me.

Video tutorial Part 2
In the video tutorial I show you how to make the second square. I went up a hook size to get my squares the same size as those for week 1, but gauge is something personal, so as long as your squares are the same size, all is well.
My squares for Part 2
I am making my Stitch Story blanket in one color of Scheepjes River Washed yarn, the baby brother of the much loved Scheepjes Stone Washed yarn. I am using River Washed Wheaton (950), a soft shade with blue fluff and a cherry core, for my squares.
Scheepjes River Washed is available from Wool Warehouse (UK/Int), Black Sheep Wools (UK), Knotty House (CA), Caro’s Atelier (NL/EU) and many other Scheepjes stockists worldwide. Thank you for supporting my work by buying your yarn through the links on my blog ❤
I am making only two squares a week, and for this week I made both my 15cm (6″) square and one 30cm (12″) square using a 4.0mm hook with my Scheepjes River Washed yarn. Here are my square for both parts we have made so far.
I am currently on summer holiday, but I will be here in two weeks to share the video tutorial for part 3. In the mean time, I hope you have a restful holiday break too, be it summer or winter in your part of the world.
