My summer break is on its last legs, next week it’s back to work for me and time to pick up my day job again. But not before I release another video for Stitch Story crochet along designed by Heather Gibbs as part of my night job. Sometimes I feel like a totally split personality walking two different roads at the same time; an engineer by day, a crocheter by night! The square for week 4 of Stitch Story also looks a bit like a road traveled, the faux knit stitch gives lines that remind me of footpaths.

Video tutorial Part 4
In the video tutorial I show you how to make the faux knit stitches that make up the squares for this week. I had to add a few extra rows to get my squares to the right high, so feel free to add extra stitches or rows if you feel your square are a bit smaller than the previous squares.
My squares for Part 4
I am making my Stitch Story blanket in one color of Scheepjes River Washed yarn, the baby brother of the much loved Scheepjes Stone Washed yarn. I am using River Washed Wheaton (950), a soft shade with blue fluff and a cherry core, for my squares.
Scheepjes River Washed is available from Wool Warehouse (UK/Int), Black Sheep Wools (UK), Knotty House (CA), Caro’s Atelier (NL/EU) and many other Scheepjes stockists worldwide. Thank you for supporting my work by buying your yarn through the links on my blog ❤
My Scheepjes River Washed squares are working up really nice, I like the yarn and the color play the two-toned yarn givds. My 4 small squares so far look kind of cute together. My squares for part 4 are still slightly smaller than my other 3 squares, but when they are joined in the blanket it will not even be visible anymore.
Two weeks from now part 5 is released, see you then.
With love,
Esther
