I have been quiet in the background preparing for Rozeta, and today the first part becomes available. Rozeta is the Scheepjes crochet along 2019, and is designed by Tatsiana from Lilla Bjorn Crochet. Tatsiana has used tapestry crochet to make intricate patterns. If you have never done tapestry crochet before, Rozeta is the perfect opportunity to learn the technique. The tips and tricks are “part 0” of the CAL, and is all about getting your gauge right, and getting used to working with two yarns at the same time.

There are kits available for all 4 colorways and in 2 yarns, which means that there has to be a kit that fits both your color preference and your budget.
The Luxury Kit contains 11 Balls of Scheepjes Our Tribe and the Colour Crafter kit contains 15 balls of Scheepjes Colour Crafter. The final Colour Crafter blanket measures 175 x 145cm and the Our Tribe blanket 118 x 148cm.
Kits are available for order from Wool Warehouse (UK/International), Knotty House (USA/CA), Caro’s Atelier (NL/EU), and many other Scheepjes stockists. Thank you for supporting me by buying your yarn through the links on my blog. It costs you nothing, but I get a small commission based on your purchase.
All kits have a Rozeta label, a decorative wooden ornament, a darning needle, and a string of embroidery yarn. The luxury Our Tribe kits also contain a large basket to carry all your Rozeta yarn goodies.
Tips & Tricks video tutorial
Take a moment to read the tips and tricks document. Tatsiana gives details about the project, which colors are used in which blankets, and how to colors are called in the different kits. She also gives tips for working tapestry crochet.
In the first Rozeta videos I try to give you as many tips as possible. We work the first 5 rounds of the pattern, to check our gauge, and to get started on the tapestry technique. I take it very, very slow in this first video. I assume that you have not done tapestry crochet before, and try to take you through the process as clearly as possible. In later videos, I will go a bit faster.
Next week part 1 of Rozeta will be available, then we start for real!
