d’Histoire Naturelle Colorways and Yarn Kits

d’Histoire Naturelle is available in in four beautiful colorways inspired by the colors and textures from the four departments of the Museum in Paris, and are available in Scheepjes Stone Washed/River Washed or Colour Crafter.

The Stone Washed/River Washed kits are available in the colorways Entomology, Herbarium, Conchology and Mineralogy and will give you a blanket of about 140cm x 140cm. The Color Crafter kits are available in the same colorways Entomology, Herbarium, Conchology and Mineralogy and will give you a blanket of about 150cm x 150cm.

d’Histoire Naturelle – Part 5 Video Tutorials

My d’Histoire Naturelle: Herbarium

I am using the Stone Washed Herbarium colorway to make my blanket. The square we made in part 1 turned into an octagon crawling with bugs in part 2, and in part 3 we made a circle decorated with leaves. Then came part 4 with minerals and lace, and now we stampede into part 5 with elephants and other lovely details. You have to admit, those elephants are just so clever.

I enjoyed making this part, there is a calm balance to repeats in the border. The arcades remind me of interesting buildings I once visited, feels like a lifetime ago. The book I finished a few weeks ago already, it is such a page turner.

Hard to believe that there is only one part left. Two weeks from now we complete d’Histoire Naturelle.
