Today is an exciting day because we are officially starting with Charlotte’s Universe Blanket CAL, a fabulous design by the talented Dedri Uys. In this post you find everything you need for part 1 of Charlotte’s Universe, including my Scheepjes Stone Washed “Strawberry Ice Cream” colorway.

The first 3 parts of Charlotte have already been available for some time, but I have chosen to release these videos again as part of Charlotte’s Universe, together with the *NEW* lefthanded videos that will complement the right handed version. You can find the RIGHT HANDED and LEFT HANDED video tutorials for Charlotte’s Universe on my YouTube channel. In the video description you will find time points that mark the start of each round.

Official Yarn Kits

There are three official colorways for the Charlotte’s Universe blanket; Vintage Charlotte, Sunshine Charlotte and Pink Charlie. You can of course make the blanket in any colorway you like, and knowing Dedri she will love to see all your color combinations! Dedri has made the original Vintage blanket using Scheepjes Softfun Aquarel (DK/Light Worsted Weight/#3).

If you would like to make your own color combination, you will need 37 balls of Scheepjes Softfun (DK/Light Worsted Weight/#3) in the following combination, where color B is the contrast color.

  • 21 balls of Color A
  • 10 balls of Color B
  • 6 balls of Color C

  1. Esther, your videos make it so fab. I got to row 11, yesterday. I love that you are using Secret Garden for it. Guess what? I just did a first design with Catona, and it was you who introduced me to Scheepjes. It really was. Histoire went on hold, for a time. I will try on this one, to finish. That central flower is so gorgeous. Thinking of joining the FB group for this one.
