Colour Lab CAL video tutorials Part 1
The first set of free video tutorials are now available to help you with the tricky bits. The tutorials are available in English (UK Terms) right handed and lefthanded, and Dutch right handed and left handed. The videos will also be available on my YouTube channel, in the written pattern and on the Scheepjes website. In all the video descriptions you will find time stampt to where each row or section starts. That way you can easily find what you are looking for.
My Colour Lab Blanket and Color placement
For this first part of the Colour Lab blanket, I decided to go with a green color placement. I want to work with the color wheel, choosing the colors for each next part of the blanket based on complementing colors. For this part, I used the following colors.
- Color A = Nice (025)
- Color B = Munich (079)
- Color C = Miami (069)
- Color D = Karachi (016)
- Color E = Colombo (020)
- Color F = Rangpur (021)
- Color G = Monterrey (023)
- Color H = Pasay (022)
The blankets are made using not one but ALL the colors in either the Scheepjes Metropolis color range or the Scheepjes Scrumptious color range. What this means in practice is that the yarn kits contain a color pack with mini balls of all the colors or either Scheepjes Metropolis or Scheepjes Scrumptious along with 3 shades of gray. Off course the kits also contain goodies for a personal CAL experience!
You can get the kits from Wool Warehouse if you live in the UK, from Jimmy Beans if you live in USA. If you live in Europe, Caro’s Atelier is a great option. The kits are also available from many other Scheepjes retailers.
