Granny Square Day 2019 celebrates us crocheters’ obsession with squares, and to celebrate Granny Square Day I give you a free pattern for a quick to make, slightly textured, crochet square. I have named this square PopUp Square, because of the textured pops on the surface. In this post you find the free pattern and everything you need to make this square.

- 3 colors of Scheepjes Stone Washed XL (50g, 75m) or Scheepjes River Washed XL (50g, 75m), approximately 20m of each color
- 6mm (US J) hook
If you use Scheepjes Stone Washed XL, and your gauge is similar to mine, your squares will be about 14cm (5.5inch).
This square can be made with any 3 colors. I have made 3 sample squares, which have the following colors.
I have a video tutorial available on my YouTube channel to show you step-by-step how to make this square. Hope the video is of added value to you.
