Ubuntu is about friendships, building relationships, family, belonging to a community, and about caring for others. Ubuntu is a complex word which has many meanings.all about family, about belonging to a community, and about caring for others. Ubuntu is a complex word which has many meanings. I believe Nelson Mandela, the late president of South Africa whom I have a deep respect for, explains ubuntu beautifully in THIS short video.

In the medium and large blanket kits, there is a beading loom included to make a lovely bracelet and pendant, a perfect gift for a friend or someone who means a lot to you. I also have a video tutorial to show you how to make the bracelet and pendant.

Hope you have a great time making your Ubuntu blanket.

With love,

Esther

  1. If you are a relative beginner, and wondering if you can handle this beautiful blanket, you can! I have been crocheting for about a year and have completed two, a medium and a large. The patterns are very clear, and with Esther’s brilliant tutorials to get you through any complicated bits, they are totally doable, and really fun. I am working on a Sophie right now, and it is more difficult than Ubuntu, to give you a comparison. Julie

  2. Thank you for this beautiful pattern video. I completed this blanket using my own yarns while I was recouping from hip surgery completed in two months. I hope you can start another one soon. Loved the pattern and instructions. Keep up the good work. I also completed another blanket using one square from another blanket pattern and I made a king blanket using 81 squares plus three pillows. It was for my sons wedding. Love your work.
