You will need 6 colors of Scheepjes Catona (50g/125m) yarn and 3 mandala rings to make your Triptych Mandalas. I have designed 3 colorways as a suggestion to give you an idea of what your mandalas could look like. The colorways are Forest Fern, Blue Moon, and Rainbow Bright. You can find the colors and yarn amounts per colorway HERE.
I also have yarn kits available for all 3 colorways of Triptych Mandalas in my shop. The mandala kits include everything you need to make these mandalas including the pattern, yarn and the mandala rings.

Triptych Mandalas Part 2 – Video Tutorials
The left handed and right handed video tutorials for Triptych Mandalas are available on my YouTube channel. Please note that these videos are in US Terminology. I appreciate that these mandalas are a little tricky from time to time and I hope the videos make it possible for everyone to make these mandalas.
What if your mandalas don’t fit in the ring?
The mandalas are designed to be approximately 10% smaller than the rings they go into. This means the medium mandala is 22cm before it goes into the 25cm ring. At the end of Round 13, your mandala should be about 21cm/8inches. If your medium mandala is larger than 21cm/8inches, replace the dc stitches of Round 13 with hdc stiches, or even sc stitches if needed. If your medium mandala is smaller, replace the dc stitches with tr stitches. All these stitches are US Terminology. If you make these changes for the medium mandala, also do this for the large mandala.
Full pattern in one document
The pattern for Triptych Mandalas is available for free in 3 parts on my blog. If you prefer to have the pattern as one document, you can purchase the pattern on Ravelry or in my SHOP for a small fee.
We will make these 3 mandalas during a short 3-week make along. The project will be hosted by Scheepjes in the English and Dutch Facebook groups. You can join these groups if you need any help, or want to share your work. I will be in the groups as much as possible to help you with any questions you might have, and to admire your beautiful mandalas.
If you would like to share your mandalas, use the hashtag #itsallinanutshell to help me find it on Facebook or Instagram. You can also share your work in my It’s all in a Nutshell Crochet Nuts Facebook group or tag me in one of your posts.
